Because Bob Alper is “the world’s only practicing clergyman doing stand-up comedy…intentionally,” and he’s bringing his hilarious show to Temple Shalom.

Early in his rabbinical career, Bob effectively injected humor into his pulpit messages. His congregants laughed, and they also listened! He now performs nearly 100 times each year all over North America and London, both solo and with his comedy partner, Ahmed Ahmed. Bob was seen this summer on ABC’s World News Tonight, and has appeared on Showtime, Extra, Comedy Central, CNN’s American Morning, and Good Morning America. His unique humor is funny enough for teenagers, clean enough for their grandparents, and appropriate for people of all faiths and no faiths. He even uses flash cards for the Judaically-challenged.
