The Passion Play

The Park Performing Arts Center (PPAC) presents its critically acclaimed production of The Passion Play.
Originated in 1915 in Union City by a group of German and Swiss immigrants who decided to present this play as an offering to World Peace, the show was originally modeled on the Passion Play performed in Oberammergau, Germany. Since 1634, the PPAC version has evolved into a musical celebration that is performed every year and is well known for its innovative and sensitive approach to religious and social issues. This intergenerational production the Passion Play was awarded the title of “One of the 100 best tourist attractions” by the American Tour Bus Association in 2000.
