Peaches

Inspired by a song of Nina Simone’s, Peaches focuses on the stereotype of the African American female identity from times of slavery to the present. The work fuses music and essay with traditional and non-traditional theater, presenting a rich and complicated picture of the Black female experience in contemporary America.
