About This Show

Written in 1833 and set in St. Petersburg, this comic romp takes on the institutions of love, match-making and matrimony with side-splitting results. A young woman enlists the services of a professional matchmaker to help her find a husband, and hilarity ensues as the young men around her are bullied into marriage, while an already-betrothed court councilor is championed as the young lady’s suitor. A raucous comedy for the entire family. Bring a picnic supper and a blanket, relax, and enjoy the abridged version of this hilarious Russian comedy performed outdoors.

Admission is Free; It is first-come, first-serve.
