Heaven Can Wait

Heaven Can Wait is the story of Joe Pendleton, a prizefighter trying to become the next boxing champ when he is almost killed in an accident. An overanxious angel plucks him to heaven only to discover that he wasn’t ready to die, and that his body has been cremated. A new body must be found, and that of a recently murdered millionaire is chosen. The millionaire’s wife and his confidential secretary, who are also the murderers, are confused by this development, as the new “Joe” goes into training as a fighter. Joe falls in love but now the angels want him to move into a different body. Chaos ensues, bodies are lost and found, and love blossoms along the way.
