Ailey II

Ailey II is the acclaimed junior company of the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre. The Company emphasizes a balance of repertoire, technique and performance and has received unmatched critical praise for its community outreach programs. Merging the spirit and energy of the best young dance talent with the passion and creative vision of today’s most outstanding emerging choreographers, the dancers and choreographers are the best and the brightest, coming from across the country and abroad, and handpicked through competitive audition. All have studied extensively at The Ailey School completing their most advanced programs. Ailey II repeatedly amazes audiences with their grace and flexibility, creating a stunning and entertaining program of classic and original works.

A pre-performance talk will be held at 7pm with an artists’ reception after the performance.
