About the Show

Winner of the 2003 Tony Award for Best Play, Take Me Out, by Richard Greenberg, is directed by Walter Niejadlik. When the famous, talented star center fielder of the World Champion New York Empires casually announces he’s gay, he assumes that because of his intense popularity the news will be readily accepted by friends and fans alike. Instead it becomes the catalyst for an array of racism and bigotry, triggering a tragic event.
