Utah Shakespearean Festival presents Macbeth, directed by Festival Education Director Michael Don Bahr. The play is one the greatest and darkest of Shakespeare’s eleven tragedies, presenting a powerful man’s rise and fall from power. Alem Brhan and Barbara Suiter are cast as Macbeth and Lady Macbeth, the latter delivering the famous line, “Out, damned spot! Out, I say!”
The Tony Award winning Utah Shakespearean Festival, now in its 45th year, is one of the largest professional theatres in North America, presenting nine productions during its season in southern Utah. The touring company is a professional team of actors and theatre artists highly skilled in their fields. The actors, along with a full complement of costumes, sets and theatrical lighting, travel for 15 weeks to schools in communities throughout Utah, Arizona and Nevada as part of the 2006Shakespeare in the Schools program.
