The Battle of Shallowford

This comedy is the tale of what happens when residents of the small North Carolina town of Shallowford fall for one of the greatest hoaxes in history – Orson Welles’ classic radio broadcast of “War of the Worlds.” Everything is calm at the local general store until they turn on the radio, hear the broadcast, and believe the fictional Martian invasion of earth is real. They fall hook, line, and sinker and run out to do battle. A theatrical gem that will tickle funny bones and warm hearts. Hilariously on target.
