About the Show

New Line Theatre and the Sheldon Concert Hall’s Notes from Home Series co-produce A New Line Cabaret, Episode III: When Musicals Attack, for two nights only, featuring the New Line All-Stars.

The eclectic list of songs includes classics like Jerome Kern and Oscar Hammerstein’s “All the Things You Are” and the pop hit “Out Here On My Own,” as well as amazing songs you’ve probably never heard, like Randy Newman’s “Real Emotional Girl,” the power ballad “Maybe I Like It This Way,” and the satirical “Everyone’s a Little Bit Racist.” As always, New Line explores the beautiful, the hilarious, the heart-breaking, and the just plain weird, all set to the music of some of the greatest American composers and lyricists of all time, celebrating the unique gift of the American musical theatre, one of the few purely American art forms.
