How His Bride Came to Abraham

The Unicorn presents the professional world premiere of How His Bride Came to Abraham by Karen Sunde. The play tells the story of a young couple separated by the their allegiances to the opposite sides of the Israeli/Palestinian conflict. Set in the early 1990’s in an occupied territory of Lebanon, an injured Israeli soldier finds himself trapped in a fort on the front lines with a female Palestinian terrorist. Forced to spend the night together, the strangers initially feel they have nothing in common but mutual distrust. But once the collision of their hatred and fears subside and their weapons have been set aside, both suddenly see in the other a surprising desire for warmth and acceptance.
