Actors Theatre of Minneapolis presents The Words and Music of Harry Chapin. Known widely as the singer/songwriter of “Cat’s in the Cradle,” Harry Chapin was a grassroots American Hero. He was one of the most beloved performers in music history, a spokesman for the people, poet laureate to cab drivers, housewives and commonfolk alike. In 1986, he was awarded the Congressional Gold Medal of Honor, because of the impact he had on social issues and for his selfless humanity and interest in others. This is his story.
