The national tour of Producer Cameron Mackintosh’s Broadway sensation comes to the Twin Cities. Based on Victor Hugo?s classic novel, Les Misérables tells the story of the fugitive Jean Valjean, who is pitted against the cruel and self-righteous Inspector Javert in a lifelong struggle to evade capture. Alain Boublil and Claude-Michel Schonberg’s blockbuster musical is the winner of more than 50 international theater awards, including eight 1987 Tony Awards. Directed by Trevor Nunn and John Caird, the musical features songs such as “I Dreamed a Dream,” “Master of the House,” and “Empty Chairs at Empty Tables.”
