Eight-year-old Rhoda Penmark is sugar and spice and everything nice- except when it comes to murder. When a classmate turns up dead after winning a penmanship award Rhoda coveted, her mother, Christine, begins to suspect her darling little girl has a mean streak of diabolical proportions that could lead to more murder. Originally staged on Broadway as a dramatic thriller, Stagecrafter’s version of The Bad Seed skewers the horror genre in this delightfully campy comedy.
