About the Show
MATURE LANGUAGE & CONTENT
America is the only nation in the world with two holidays celebrating the liberation of its people from oppression: Juneteenth and Independence Day. We have two holidays because not everyone was free when the first holiday was established.
“Freedom Days” is a company-created performance piece. An all-Black cast of 20-something actors and their director explore what freedom means to them in this world as they experience daily assaults on Constitutional rights. Funny, irreverent, but always thought-provoking, this show allows the next generation of leaders to be heard on the most important topic of today: what does freedom mean?
