About the Show

The biggest comedy event of the summer makes audiences laugh until it hurts this Labor Day weekend when The Second City-Detroit hosts a plethora of comedic talent during the First Annual Detroit Improv Festival. The schedule is:
Tuesday, August 29, 2000:
2:00 – 5:00pm ? Workshop: Building & Maintaining Characters Through Improv ? Audiences can participate in a panel discussion led by Dave Razowsky
7:00pm ? Performance of EmBeEm ? Maribeth Monroe?s, current Second City-Detroit mainstage cast member?s one-person show
8:30pm ? Performance of Lovers & Other Stragglers ? Reprise of the original production by Margaret Exner & Marc Warzecha of the Second City-Detroit
10:00pm ? Performance of a series of sketches by The Ha Ha Tribe
Wednesday, August 30, 2000:
2:00 – 5:00pm ? Workshop: Musical Improvisation for Dummies ? Audiences can participate in a panel discussion led by Second City Touring Company member, Topher Owen & Second City-Detroit mainstage cast member, Maribeth Monroe
7:00pm ? Improvisational singing by Three Guys Named Joe
8:30pm ? Performance by The Second City Touring Company
10:00pm ? Performance by The Cabinet
Thursday, August 31, 2000:
2:00 – 5:00pm ? Workshop: A Short Long Form ? Audiences can participate in a panel discussion led by led by Tim Chidester

10:00pm ? Sneak preview & after party of Garage: A Rock Saga ? Planet Ant Productions? independent film which was co-written by former Second City-Detroit favorites, Joshua Funk and Nancy Hayden
Sunday, September 3, 2000:
11:00am – COMPLETION BRUNCH
2:00pm – Discussion and screening of Garage: A Rock Saga with Joshua Funk
