Tibet Through The Red Box

About the Show

Cape Rep presents the East Coast premiere of Tibet Through The Red Box, by David Henry Hwang, directed by Noel Carmichael.

Peter is 12 years old and lives in Czechoslovakia. It is 1951 and his father is sent by the Russian government to film the Chinese building a road into Tibet. During his three-year absence, father and son try to connect across space and time. An adaptation of a true story by Peter Sis, the play is an infusion of the sights and sounds of Tibet, with live music, folk tale, costume and tradition — a truly magical journey.

No performance Sunday, September 24
