About the Show
Wayne Martin returns to the Tent using parody, mime, dance, mask and musical theatre in presenting his various styles of puppetry. Full of comedy and pathos, vignettes of human emotions and fantasy set against a backdrop of dramatic lighting and theatrical effects, this program has no age or language barriers.
Traditional and original stringing theories are employed to bring to life a variety of hand puppet and marionette characters such as Mr. Genie performing magic tricks on his flying carpet, the Candy Man whose sweet tooth causes him to break-apart only to come back together again, dancing Rag Mops, homeless Derf, and a musical tribute to Punch and Judy to name but a few.
