Roger and Ellen went to the coast on their honeymoon in order to see the ocean for their very first time. But they stopped right before reaching a view of the water, turning back, promising to return on their 50th anniversary. The Ocean Room follows their beautiful journey to get back to that magical place of optimism and hope, the water, where their senses can be fresh and their minds will be clear. First produced in the 11:11 Ohio Summer of Plays and then developed through the Iowa Playwright’s Workshop, The Ocean Room gets its long-awaited Boston premiere at the Actor’s Workshop.
