The Neverending Story

Arlington Children’s Theatre’s production of this beloved story has all the thrills of a classic adventure. The story begins when a lonely boy named Bastian stumbles into a curious bookshop and discovers a curious book—The Neverending Story. Bastian hides in the attic of his school and begins to read, and a huge adventure surges to life. Fantastica, a land of stories, is being destroyed by the Nothing. The Childlike Empress has chosen Atreyu, an orphaned boy, to be the Hero of the Great Quest. He accepts and sets off on his mission with his horse and companion, Artax. As Atreyu encounters many dangers and fantastical creatures, Bastian finds himself transported into Atreyu’s adventure.
