Cape Cod Opera presents Gilbert & Sullivan’s The Mikado, or The Town of Titipu, “an entirely original Japanese Opera in Two Acts,” which was first performed on March 14, 1885 at The Savoy Theatre, London. The most popular of all Gilbert and Sullivan operas, it tells the story of Nanki-Poo, a wandering minstrel in love with Yum-Yum, the ward of Ko-Ko.
Performances are at The Tilden Arts Center, Route 132, W. Barnstable.
