Sleeping Beauty

The World Premiere of Stephen Russell’s Sleeping Beauty, featuring a cast of W4K veterans as well as a few new faces.

Sleeping Beauty is based on the classic French fairy tale of the same name. When an evil fairy puts a spell on a baby Princess, it’s up to the six good fairies and an assortment of merry mortals to put things to rights. Like most W4K productions, this one plays a little fast and loose with the original story, with plenty of jokes for kids and grown-ups alike, a song or two, a thrilling battle (this time with wands as well as swords), all presented in an open air setting that makes for a perfect summer evening of family entertainment. This is the 11th season of WHAT for Kids! and we couldn’t be prouder that so many Cape visitors and residents have made us part of their summer traditions.
