About This Show

Dale Wasserman adapts Ken Kesey’s novel, One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest for the stage. MacMurphy’s got it made: a short stint in a mental institution instead of jail–until he finds out that he might never leave. He engages in a power struggle with Head Nurse Ratchet, and inspires the other inmates, including a deaf and dumb Native American, to take their lives back. Made famous by the movie starring Jack Nicholson, this is a gripping and poignant drama that may not be suitable for all audiences.
