On Golden Pond

On Golden Pond, a Tony award-winning play which became an Academy award-winning movie (which starred Katharine Hepburn, Henry Fonda and Jane Fonda) is delightfully funny and thoughtfully poignant in its treatment of Ethel and Norman’s long-term relationship, Norman’s oncoming infirmity and Chelsea’s ongoing feelings of inadequacy. Chelsea’s soon-to-be stepson Billy Ray (A.J. Pratt) proves to be a catalyst which affords the family an opportunity to heal and grow.
