About the Show

The Four C’s Theatre presents Marsh Light by Marthe Rachel Gold. Set in Wellfleet and New York City from 1951 to 1968, the play reveals the persistence of a middle aged woman’s love through the adversity of her husband’s mental illness and her son’s coming of age. The play revolves around the lives of two artists, Max, a painter and Lillian, a photographer, whose love for each other supports the creation of stunning new work. Both are inspired by the mysterious, inspiring twilight reflections of the sky on the beautiful marsh in Wellfleet. “Marsh light” is both the subject of their art and a metaphor for their love. Directed by Michael Tritto, Jr.
