Laughing Liberally: An Evening of Left-Leaning Political Humor

Do you think there is a lot going in the world right now? Perhaps it’s time to try a healthy dose of left-leaning, progressive comedy to soothe, illuminate, and obtain some perspective about the state of current affairs. Laughing Liberally is a new progressive political comedy show starring some of the most established voices of comedy as well as emerging ones. For 8 shows over 2 weeks, Jimmy Tingle will host New York and Boston comedians at Jimmy Tingle’s OFF BROADWAY Theater during the 4th stop of the wildly successful tour of Laughing Liberally.

Lineups include established headliners such as Jimmy Tingle (The Tonight Show, HBO & Comedy Central), the New York- based Julie Goldman (HBO’s Sopranos, Bravo & VH-1), Dean Obeidallah, (NY Arab-American Comedy Festival, CNN, & Winner, Bill Hicks Spirit Award); and Scott Blakeman (Air America Radio, Comedy Central & NPR). Other comedians traveling in from New York include Katie Halper, Lee Camp, and Benari Poulten (formerly Boston-based). Massachusetts-based comedians Tim McIntire, Baratunde Thurston, Myq Kaplan, Erin Judge, Brian Longwell, Mandy Donovan, Steve Calechman, Anne Podolske, and others will also perform.

There will be a special video introduction by Janeane Garofalo and Sam Seder from Air America Radio’s ‘Majority Report’.
Each show will include videos from DNEXT.com, MoveOn.org, and the Media That Matters Film Festival.
