Immaculate Infection

About the Show

Immaculate Infection is the story of Yolanda, a Puerto Rican immigrant widow living with AIDS, who is snapped out of her isolated victimization by her relationship with an outrageous Jewish drag queen named Mary Cohn. Issues of race, class, gender, religion, sexual orientation, language and cultural tradition get tangled up in their tale of human interdependence and survival. The play was developed through workshops with people affected by AIDS, the Latino and Jewish communities, and is touring in Peru, Costa Rica and Puerto Rico.
