Bruce Graham’s Coyote on a Fence tells the story of two Death Row inmates, liberal political activist John Brennan and white-supremacist Bobby Alvin Reyburn, who strike up an unusual friendship despite their conflicting views. John is a literate and articulate man who plays chess by mail, lobbies for Truffaut films in prison, and publishes a newspaper called The Death Row Advocate. Bobby is a wide-eyed innocent who learned his racist viewpoints from his uncle, the only man to ever show him any love. This funny, moving and intelligent play is directed by Nancy Curran Willis.
