Jim Fitzmorris’ The Visitation is an obituary, a eulogy, and, ultimately, a memory of a New Orleans that exists only in nostalgia. Seen last summer as a staged reading at The Shakespeare Festival at Tulane, the play combines fractured narratives, childhood ghost stories and dirty election campaigns as it chronicles the origins of a political family and the crucial decision it must make in the watershed year of 1962.
This show is playing in repertory with Mr. & Mrs. Hollywood Thursdays through Sundays.
