About the Show

The legendary August Wilson (Fences, The Piano Lesson, Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom) brings his classic play cycle to the 1980’s with his searing drama King Hedley II. This poetic tale set in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, follows released felon King Hedley as his dreams and our history collide with tragic results. This production is dedicated to the memory of August Wilson who died tragically young on October 2, 2005.
