About This Show

Shakespeare wrote Edward III with friends as a collaboration that had hindered attributions in the past. It tells of the first campaigns of the Hundred Years War while British Monarchs attempted to reclaim their Norman territories in France while holding off Scots from the North. After Edward is crowned King of England, he fights for his right to bear the Crown of France because it was his right through his Mother, sister to the dead, heir-less King. But the French did not see the crown being passed through the heir of a woman and instead chose John Valois to reign.
