The Duchess of Malfi

John Webster’s Jacobean tragedy, The Duchess of Malfi focuses on a young, widowed duchess who goes against the wishes of her manipulative brothers by marrying her own steward. Gale Edwards, director of the recent revival of Jesus Christ Superstar, directs Aisling O’Sullivan as the title character. The play is a dark, violent, sexually-charged tragedy, and a study in evil, corruption, and revenge.
