Resurrection Blues

About the Show

Robert Altman, a five-time Academy Award nominee, directs the London premiere of Arthur Miller’s Resurrection Blues. The play is set in a South American dictatorship, where a New York-based production company arrives to film the execution of a rebel leader. The show stars Jane Adams, Neve Campbell, Peter McDonald, Matthew Modine, Maximilian Schell and John Wood.

High in the mountains of a South American banana republic, a revolution is brewing. When the rebels’ messiah-like leader is captured, a New York production company swoops in to televise his execution — death by crucifixion — and an explosive chain of events ensues. Humorous, poetic and thought-provoking, Resurrection Blues satirizes misguided global politics and the predatory nature of a media-saturated culture.
