Pericles is a journey. At the beginning, there’s an old man with a story to tell, and a young man with a riddle to solve. Fourteen years later, after shipwrecks and resurrections, palaces and brothels, marriage-beds and murders, the story is finally told; the journey has been made – and the riddle is answered in a blaze of light.
