About the Show

Grand Vision Foundation and GSPO Live! in association with the Roar Foundation present
Love Letters, by A.R. Gurney,
a theatre benefit for The Shambala Preserve. Tippi Hedren and Ken Howard star. Tony Torrisi directs.

The play portrays the lives of Melissa Gardner and Andrew Ladd, from elementary school through adulthood as they grow together and apart a number of times…always keeping in touch through their letters.

Writing is the vehicle to share their feelings and opinions, and also how they hide from one another. Two very different personalities find a common ground in the letters they write to each other and a very unusual relationship is maintained through the years.

All proceeds benefit the ROAR Foundation, the non-profit support organization for The Shambala Preserve and share its mission:

To educate the public about exotic animals; and to advocate for legislation to protect them.

To provide sanctuary to exotic animals – who have suffered from gross mistreatment and neglect – so they can regain their physical and mental health and live out their lives in dignity.

At Shambala there is no breeding, no buying, no selling and no trading of exotic animals. It is a true sanctuary.
