Jest a Second picks up where Beau Jest left off! Sarah and Bob are married and expecting their first baby! This time, it is Sarah’s brother Joel who is bringing someone home for dinner for his parents to meet. They are expecting Randy, his girl friend. But it turns out that Randy is not the "girl" they thought she would be! It’s another roller coaster ride of laughs and in the end tolerance and acceptance rise to the fore! It’s Fiddler on the Roof with a dash of La Cage Aux Folles! And in the end, James Sherman’s comic genius satirizes Jewish family dynamics while paying tribute to the importance of family.
