Women and Water

About the Show

Set against the cataclysmic happenings of the Civil War, Lydie Breeze, a Nantucket nurse, determines to find an idyllic community of kindred spirits in the family homestead and to fight against the corruption and materialism which have overtaken the times. Her Utopian scheme eventually founders on its own good intentions.
Eclipse Theatre Company presents Women and Water, directed by Eclipse company member Steven Fedoruk, as the first production of its 2002 season dedicated to the plays of American playwright John Guare.

Post-performance discussions with the cast and dramaturgs will follow the matinees on April 7th and April 14th. A benefit performance will be held on Friday April 26th, 2002, with a post-performance reception. Tickets to this special event are $40 each, or $70 for a pair, with all proceeds benefiting Eclipse Theatre Company.

There is no performance on Easter Sunday, March 31st.
