Verbatim Verboten

Under the direction of Michael Martin, the performers of Verbatim Verboten present staged readings of conversations that were never meant for the public ear, usually recorded on the sly. Most are funny, some are grim; all are presented as complete as we can get them; the boring parts as well as the mean, weird, and dirty parts. And every show features a Nixon conversation because?because Tricky Dick is the granddaddy of secret recordings, and he never had a pleasant, boring conversation in his life.

The audience at every performance decides which celebrities? privacy gets violated, voting before the show for its favorite dozen transcripts from among the 50+ available?Charles & Di, Miriam Santos, Tom & Nicole, execs of Texaco and the Mafia, Tommy Lasorda, Jim Morrison, Britney, Martin & Lewis, and on and on.
