Trojan Women

When the battles have ended and the victors have packed up and gone, what happens to those who live in the aftermath of war? In this project, students explore the universal plight of the disenfranchised in wartime through the timeless lens of Greek tragedy. A chorus of women face their fates as widows and concubines and mourn the loss of their native city, whose sparse war-torn landscape resonates with contemporary relevance.
