In a celebratory performance, the Auditorium Theatre of Roosevelt University presents the 10th annual Too Hot To Handel: The Jazz-Gospel Messiah, a festive engagement honoring the life of Civil Rights activist and cultural icon Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. The exuberant jazz reinvention of George Frideric Handel’s “Messiah”—a vibrant mix of Jazz, Gospel, Blues, Swing, Classical and Scat—features star soloists Rodrick Dixon, Alfreda Burke and Karen Marie Richardson.
