The Wvon Story is written by Jackie Taylor and Jimmy Tillman. This not-to-be-missed musical history lesson is the story of how WVON radio influenced and launched soul music around the country and how this same station grew into a powerhouse that inspired, motivated, and uplifted Chicago’s Black community during the political and civil unrest of the 1960s.
