GroundUp Theatre, in cooperation with Friends of the Parks, presents William Shakespeare’s The Tempest. In this contemporary adaptation, Shakespeare’s marooned characters, in the guise of CEOs, department heads, middle managers and office temps, all try to get back to civilization as aging hipster Prospero works his magic to regain the family business. This family-friendly, 90-minute version is a great introduction to Shakespeare, as well as a new take on a classic favorite. Don Johnson directs.
