About the Show
Whether you have been a groupie for 30 years, or are part of the new generation of Rocky maniacs, the greater Chicagoland area will be doing the Time Warp again as Richard O’Brien’s Rocky Horror Show beams its way from Transylvania courtesy of NightBlue Performing Arts Company. The show begins with a live cabaret sing-a-long preview at Seamus McGhee’s Restaurant on October 20 (no cover charge!), and then descends upon the Sabre Room in Hickory Hills October 25-27. The transit crystal will then transport the show to the Elbo Room and Athenaeum Theatre on Chicago’s north side for Halloween and beyond!
The show will celebrate the legend of Rocky Horror and its’ legion of fans with late show times, costume contests, and active encouragement of the audience participation phenomenon that made the show famous. NightBlue approved Participation Kits will be available for purchase by audience members, and every show will feature a costume contest for those fans wishing to emulate their favorite characters. Additionally, two show nights are dedicated to college students by offering them a reduced ticket price and free Participation kit.
