The Past’s Present

The Past’s Present concerns Nathan, a young playwright trying to get past the first page of a play about courting the woman of his dreams. However, The Perfect Her that keeps hijacking his imagination is not his current live-in girlfriend, but an almost-lover whom Nathan hasn’t seen in ten years. While he struggles to reconcile his idealistic fantasies with real-life issues, his alter-ego organizes a Greek chorus of ex-girlfriends to expose his susceptibility to RID (Romantic Illusion Disorder). When his girlfriend leaves due to his lack of ambition, Nathan must choose whether to retreat into the recesses of his imagination or to live in the present.
