About the Show

Originally performed in December 1902 at the Moscow Art Theatre, directed by and starring Constantin Stanislavski, Maxim Gorky’s The Lower Depths was an instant success. Considered Gorky’s best play, it is the first staged work about the lower class written from a sympathetic point of view. Join us to hear the soaring wisdom developed from a life at rock bottom. Directed by Joel Huff.
