About the Show

Set in a town overrun with arsonists, The Firebugs tells the story of a good, yet naive and frightened man, who takes a cowardly stance of friendliness and put-on ignorance to the fthreat of imminent violence and disaster. When two pyromaniacs enter Gotlieb Biederman’s house looking for shelter, Biederman takes them in with uncommon–and uncomfortable–hospitality. But the motives behind his open arms change as it becomes all too clear that they are out to burn his home to the ground. By turns hilarious and disturbing, The Firebugs serves as an allegory that proves universal in its message of the consequences for the allowance of evil men by good people.
