The Adventures of Anansi the Spider

With a book by Christina Biggs and music and lyrics by Marianne Kallen, The Adventures of Anansi the Spider weaves together five well-known folktales about the beloved trickster of African folklore. The combined stories tell a humorous tale about learning something valuable and how sharing that knowledge with others can make the world a better place. Directed by Joan Mazzonelli with musical direction by Jeffrey Bouthiette.

The Adventures of Anansi the Spider is presented as part of Theatre Building Chicago’s Musicals for Young Audiences program.
