Stardust

About the Show

This adaptation of Neil Gaiman’s Stardust, a fairy tale written for adults, begins in the village of Wall, where young Tristran Thorn has lost his heart to the hauntingly beautiful Victoria Forester. One evening Tristran makes his love a promise on a falling star — an impetuous vow that will send him through the only breach in the wall, across the pasture… and into the most exhilarating adventure of his life.

Tristan pursues his heart’s desire into the land of Faerie, bringing him to cross paths with strange creatures from the beyond, including talking trees, gnomes, witches, and unicorns, as well as the mystical star herself. Adapted by the Griffin’s William Massolia and directed by Dorothy Milne, artistic director of Chicago’s Lifeline Theatre, this ambitious project is the first main stage production from the Griffin Theatre Company after the critically acclaimed and Joseph Jefferson Citation winning Angus, Thongs, and Full Frontal Snogging last Spring.
