Nuts & Mints involves a woman plagued by society’s predetermined view of the “perfect” woman. From the stress and anxiety of planning her own wedding to the ludicrous advertisements of a theme restaurant, the main character painstakingly decides how she wants her life to be. Will she marry a terrific guy who treats her with respect and dignity? Will she take action and make a statement about the portrayal of women at work, on television, and in their own homes? With a couple of cans of gas, a single match and a brick, she attempts to ignite doubt in the beliefs of those around her. Sprinkled with laughter, filled with passion, glazed with just a touch of audience interaction and baked over a fierce three-alarm fire, this play is anything but “sugar, spice and everything nice.”
