Darling of the Day

Light Opera Works presents the musical gem, Darling of the Day, with music by Jule Styne, lyrics by E.Y. Harburg, and book by Nunnally Johnson, in a revised version by Erik Haagensen. Michael Montel directs, with musical direction by Roger L. Bingaman and choreography by artistic director Rudy Hogenmiller.

Darling of the Day is the story of a shy painter who assumes the identity of his recently deceased butler and discovers his paintings are more popular now that he’s dead.
